Our Destination
There’s something really wonderful about detaching from what’s comfortable. Leaving what’s familiar and clinging to Jesus tighter. We don’t even have to leave our homes to go after this, but my first experience was that.
My first move away from home was also a move out of the country. When I arrived in Norway I remember breaking down and crying on the floor of my flat at different times for the first 3 days. The unfamiliarity, knowing no one, a foreign language spoken around me, felt a bit claustrophobic in the beginning. But that bubble soon popped. I explored, met some new friends, and started learning the language. But the best thing was making my home in Jesus.

Crying out to Him who was familiar, deepening that one friendship I did have. It felt like moving in more of my myself, into His house, into Him. My home was no longer in a city or my family persay (though I love these things), but I felt most at home in Him, no matter where I was.
Everything happened so fast this year of 20/20! Unplanned and unexpected. God has been shining a lamp to our feet, one step at a time. He has given promises and has not been silent in confirmations. But we haven’t been sure what’s further down the path or where things are all headed. There has been peace in remembering that it’s not about where we’re going, but going with Jesus where He’s leading.
He is our destination.
His heart. His Kingdom. No place or experience, accomplishment or person will ever satisfy our hearts like Him.
God has called our family to Redding, California for a season. Leighton and I will be attending Bethel School of Supernatural ministry, our first time going to school together! The kiddos will be shining and learning at their first out of home experience with preschool. Bittersweet for this mamma. We’ll start with year one, and see where God leads from there.
Letting go of our current home in Spokane, laying down the expectation of coming back to this particular house took time. I birthed our two babies here, hosted beautiful souls from five different countries and enjoyed going after an atmosphere in our home where God’s presence can rest and where He can move freely. Our first purchased home. I’m so thankful.

Some are wondering what the state of California will look like, ourselves included. If school will even be open. For us, we have a clear GO from Jesus right now no matter what. If He says halt, we halt. We are set on His voice not an outcome. Ultimately we are going with Him, for Him. More than going for a school, a structure or experience.
With all that’s going on in the world right now, Jesus voice has to be the loudest and clearest. Who’s voice is loudest in your life right now? The Holy Spirit is inviting us into what He’s doing. I believe more time dedicated to ministering to Jesus heart (being with Him, loving on Him) and intercession with the Holy Spirit (praying with God, not just to Him) is the best thing we can be doing, first and foremost. Our battle is spiritual! I’ve had pictures in my head of myself walking, praying and worshiping more than anything else in Redding recently. From there we move, we overflow, we join Him in what He’s up to.
So even if our time looked like this, We’re in!
Thank you for joining us on this journey! Your prayers and encouragement are much appreciated! Praying that Jesus’ voice is the loudest in your hearts, minds and homes. He is up to good things in our world and in our lives!

Wonderful!!! Truly, Linds, you beautifully LIVE with a childlike WONDER of the King of glory. Thank you for modeling that, and for sharing your heart and passion. May we all live as full of wonder of our wonderful Lord Jesus 😊. He is SO worth it! Worth pursuing, worth drawing near to, worth listening to, and worth FOLLOWING!
Papa Tony and I are both super proud of each of you, Linds…proud of all four of you, as we know you and Leighton involve your precious little ones in praying to and with God, seeking His face, and obediently stepping out in faith when He says, “Come, follow Me!”
